Brandon Kastow

Brandon Nameer Kastaw is a Commercial Transactions Attorney at Hakim, Toma & Yaldo, P.C. He has represented clients in general business and real estate matters such as real estate sales and acquisitions, business entity formation and consulting, commercial property lease negotiations, lease drafting, tenant evictions, business sales and acquisitions, restaurant, convenience store and hotel alcoholic beverage licensing, and cannabis licensing.

Mr. Kastaw leads the Transactional Law division within the firm. He represents commercial real estate sellers, purchasers, and developers regarding their transactional and development needs. He also serves as outside general counsel for small to medium-sized businesses assisting with all of their legal issues including business formation, contracting and negotiating with other businesses, and advising his clients with his experience and expertise. Brandon believes in working alongside his clients every step of the way, including negotiating the deal, through the due diligence period, to closing and beyond.

 

Mr. Kastaw assists commercial landlords in tenant bankruptcies, rental collections, and negotiating and drafting lease documents. He also represents a wide variety of industries, including cannabis, in the leasing, sale, and purchase of real estate. As a litigator, Brandon has the experience to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients, whether dealing with simple collections cases or complex construction and breach of contract disputes.

Brandon received his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he received awards such as the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for being the highest scoring student in his Contract/Sales course, the Dean’s Scholarship for Excellence, and the 2019-2020 Honorable Lawrence Paul Zatkoff Memorial Scholarship. Prior to his Graduation from the University of Detroit Mercy, Mr. Kastaw interned for the Honorable Chief Judge Christopher Murray at the Michigan Court of Appeals. Brandon is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, including its Real Property and Business Law Sections, and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Brandon is an involved member in his Community. His hobbies include traveling, playing basketball, restoring classic cars, and coaching youth basketball at his local church.

Fadi Toma

Fadi Toma doesn’t have one favorite case in his law career; rather, it is a combination of great moments for his clients that stand out. “It is a joy to see clients when we win compensation for their injuries and you literally see the weight lifted from them,” Fadi says. “That feeling of purpose in what we do never gets old.”

Passion for client success and commitment to getting the best outcome for clients is something Fadi credits to all of Hakim, Toma & Yaldoo’s employees, noting that their dedication and role in success for the firm’s clients is inherent to the firm’s culture.

Fadi is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He is a licensed attorney in Michigan and is a member of the bar associations in Michigan, Arizona and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. In addition, he is a member of the Michigan Association of Justice.
